But it isn't musical.
Instead, it screams at you.
The voice recording is two children screaming "You're Awesome!"
Which I am of course. But you know what's more awesome? Hanging it on the freezer. Then, when Almost Hubs

We have officially skipped over spring this year and headed straight into summer. Yes, the weeks of drizzly days and nightly thunderstorms have given way to 80+ heat and 98% humidity. The weekend warriors are back this weekend opening up their "summer homes" and creating welcome chaos in the neighborhood. See, the weekend warriors have kids, and they play with my kids. Which means that I may have a shot at having

I am allowing the kids to Tye dye on Sunday.

Pray for me.

I have to take the last day of school of from work due to some after school programs being closed. So, the boys asked if they could have some friends over. I said sure, why not right? I have 6 kids coming to the house.
Six.
Good thing I've been Extreme Couponing and now have a healthy hoard of ice cream, popsicles, and hot dogs.

I have very few things left to do for the wedding. One of them is the flower garlands for the train. I've been delaying this because I will have to once again, wage war with my glue gun.
We are not friends.
It is a nasty, bitter battle, fraught with much gasping and muttered curse words.
In the end, the glue gun always wins.
80 feet of flower garland, complete with ribbon and white lights.
Bring on the blisters.
Damn, you're one busy woman. How can you manage to do everything? I trully admire women who work full-time and have big families.
ReplyDeletePut the card under your bed sheets, men need positive reinforcement there too.
ReplyDeleteThe garlands sound lovely! Can't wait to see photos! :)
ReplyDeleteThey do make a low melt glue gun... although it can still burn, it's not usually enough to blister ya...
ReplyDeleteAnd how fun for your kids to be the house where all the other kids go and have popsicles and hot dogs and a mom that everyone wishes were his.
:)
I was just sitting down to comment on the "6 kids over" thing, when a loud screech arose from the backyard.
ReplyDelete"Don't throw balls at the chickens!!!"
Welcome to my world. My FB status this morning? "If I wanted to referee all day, I'd coach sports, not have kids."
Good grief. If only I'd stocked up on popsicles to bribe the little hellions with. I am not as cool as you. And definitely not brave enough to let them tie-dye. Though I do let them make use Sharpies to draw art on their t-shirts when they've stained them beyond wear. Covers the stains, they have fun, and it gets another couple months wear out of it.
Have a great weekend, and enjoy the day off Monday!

I love the idea of you opening the card and your kids voices emanating from it saying that you are awesome. You seem very busy but very happy which is a really good combination to have!
ReplyDeleteYou should try cellfire. You can add digital coupons to your grocery store cards too.
ReplyDeleteOur summer has start here too....but it's too hot! Sure wish I had your energy!
