Truth Is Thursday...

Truth is... I had no idea what I had started with my last post, but it has been awesome reading every one's thoughts.  And I was so glad that there was no fighting.... 'cuz I don't do tension well.

Truth is... I spent an hour sewing patches onto my son's cub scout uniform, only to find out last night, it was the wrong color shirt. *sigh*

Truth is... I really want to do something with the cub scouts, perhaps the parent Scribe position, so I know what the heck is going on.

Truth is... I have lost five pounds.

Truth is... It's only been 7 days off sugar and caffeine and my hands don't hurt anymore, my cuts are healing up nicely (finally) and I haven't tried to stab any one that didn't deserve it.

Truth is... I went off caffeine by accident.  I ran out of Diet Coke, and I don't drink coffee, so after the detox migraine had faded, I figured I might as well quit caffeine too.

Truth is...  I've only cheated a little, and only when it fit into my carb count for the day.

Truth is... my niece wore her costume to a Halloween party at dance yesterday.  I now have two more jobs pending for hand made Christening gowns. Yippee...

Truth is...  Some days it just all comes together.  Wednesday was one of those days.  Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, however were not.

Truth is...  Payday can't come soon enough.  I think we're down to six yogurts, some cocktail weenies, and cereal.

Truth is... it's your turn!

15 Survival Tips:

  1. I have often wondered it tea with caffeine counts? If so I'm screwed because there is no way I'm giving up my teas! Just no way. I don't care about the caffeine since I am not a caffeinated soda drinker (really only splurge with ginger ale) or coffee but I adore my teas for flavor and relaxation...nothing to do with the caffeine boost. Hmmm.

Anyway...congrats on the 5 lbs and the lack of pain!! :) I am so happy for you! :)

  6. Congratulations! You are doing so well. I'm really impressed by no caffeine. I would think people would be begging you to sew for them all the time.

    Love,

  10. Congratulations on the weightloss and the painloss! I have to admit that when my girls were in scouting, I tried to sew on patches to their vests, found out afterwards that there was a certain way they needed to be attached, gave up, and coaxed one of the other moms to do it for me. *bows head in shame before the sewing goddess that is Surving Boys*

  11. Thanks everyone... just says how bad I was eating that I lost it so fast.

Jewels - herbal tea does not have caffeine. :)

Gina - Kind of glad I didn't, I was told to just remove the patches, iron it out and exchange it for the right color.

Nari - no need to bow head in shame. I KNOW how to do it and just didn't want to. :)

  12. Truth is: I know feel bad because I'm drinking soda and really, really shouldn't be. Oh, and I loathe the headache caffeine withdrawal gives you. Dread that.

I really like days when everything comes together. Would like them even more if they happened more often and with greater regularity. :/

Now, I'm going to try the caffeine kick again because you've inspired me to do so (may take me a little time because I have this sports-soda thing, but maybe if I limit it to certain games, etc...yeah, this might take some time). :)
